Another John Carpenter Remake - They Live
I'm not sure who decided that all of Carpenter's movies warranted a remake, or if they've just run out of new material again and have fallen back to piss on some of the golden oldies, but here it is, 'They Live' John Carpenter's 1988 sci-fi flick is getting set for a remake.
According to the Hollywood Reporter Universal and Strike Entertainment are in negotiations with Les Mougins, who holds the rights to 'They Live, for the remake. Strike's Marc Abraham and Eric Newman are slated to produce, while Shep Gordon (from Les Mougins) and Carpenter will hold executive producer roles.
The original 'They Live' starred Roddy Piper as Nada, a blue collar worker that finds a pair of sunglasses that allow him see the aliens among us. He first joins in with the resistance against them, but eventually goes off to stop the invaders himself.
