A Real Look at Sack Head Jason Voorhees
New Line Cinema's newest remake of "Friday the 13th" hits theaters on Friday the 13th, in February 2009. Many fans of the story know that before Jason donned the frightening goalie mask, he ran around town with a "sack" on his head.
Here is a first look at him, in all his glory, originally featured on shocktillyoudrop. In this version of the film, the sack is a much tighter fit than previous panty-raided, "pillow case" versions.
Producer Brad Fuller also says that "Sack Head" Jason was in and out of various drafts of the script, but ultimately considered it to be a "seminal moment where you go from the baghead to the hockey mask." He goes on to state,
"That was something that we all wanted to do in the movie. If we're going to be true to what we're doing here, and tell - obviously not a remake of the first movie and it's not a sequel - key moments from all of the movies, we really wanted to integrate it in our own way."
