Cloverfield Gets Oscar Nomination

CloverField is one of many films that are up for consideration for the oscar nod for Visual FX. You can also count Hellboy 2 The Golden Army on the list of films that got the nod. When I think of all the movies this year that visually did some pretty cool stuff I honestly do not include Cloverfield on that list. do you?

Cloverfield was such a monster hit and the 'monster' itself was so popular that it even will make an appearance in the upcoming Star Trek movie ( star trek cloverfield monster ). Does its popularity warrant an FX oscar? Comment away.
