The Hell with the Oscars, where the real joy of the Award season lies is with the coveted 'Golden Raspberry' Award, given to those filmmakers, stars and their movies which have achieved levels of sheer awfulness, they have to be recognized for all of time.

Since 1981 movies like Battlefield Earth: A Saga of the Year 3000 (read the book, much better, shoulda been done as a mini-series), Catwoman, Gigili, The Postman, and Showgirls have graced the Awards.

I just got two things to say, first: how in da hell did Prom Night, The Spirit, or Twilight escape getting a single nomination?  Dungeon Siege is infintely better than any of those movies.  Which leads me to my second statement, most people here know I'm an unabashed Uwe Boll fan...so here is what I have to say: VIVA LA UWE BOLL!

The Razzies will be handed out on February 21, unfortauntly not televised.  Personally I'm hoping on Disaster Movie sweeping the awards, Boll might not be a great director but he's Steven Speilberg compared to Friedberg and Seltzer.  If those guys get another movie greenlit...I think it's time to call up the Four Horsemen.
