Hasbro Chief Talks Ouija Movie

Not long ago it was announced that Hasbro was going to make films based around there board games. The only one of course that will concern the horror genre is the Ouija board. Today MTV movies blog caught up the head of Hasbro, Brian Goldner.

“Half of the people that play Ouija as a séance think it’s just a game,” said Goldner. “The other half thinks it’s much more serious than that. So that idea, is this real or is this just sort of imagined? Is this something that’s done by the participants or is this something that’s really from beyond?”

“In Ouija you ask questions and then you get these answers,” Goldner told the site. “And sometimes these answers are unintended answers. So be careful what you ask, that’s the element of the game that I think is so fun. You sort of use that insight about really playing Ouija as the jumping off point for a story for a movie, and then you link it to something much bigger.”

I am a little surprised that Hasbro is planning to be so hands on with this project. Personally I think they should stick to what they know best.. but then again the way Hollywood has been doing things lately I don't blame them for wanting to be very hands on. As soon as we learn more about the project we will let you know.
