Thirteenth Hour Clocks In Two WritersunMaskedKiller
New Line Cinema acquired the book last fall, as goon reported, but have just released that Michael Brandt and Derek Haas have signed to adapt the novel for producer Michael DeLuca, according to Variety.
The book follows a man accused of brutally murdering his wife who is given a chance to save her by going back in time, in one-hour increments. He puts together clues to figure out not only who killed her but why. It sounds a bit like Timecrimes which I thought was a fantastic film which is in the process of being remade here in the states. Only of course this story has a couple tweeks to make it "original".
You might know Brandt and Haas from such movies as Wanted and 3:10 to Yuma. So there's good hope for this one, which Haas has described as "a fast paced thriller with a supernatural twist and characters who really pop." We'll keep you posted on any more developments.
