Brian Keene's Dark Hollow Picked Up!

Brian Keene is one cool dude and talented to. His book Dark Hollow is going to be a feature film! Bram Stoker Award winning US horror author Brian Keene and British Fantasy Award winning writer Paul Finch combine forces to create Dark Hollow, a return to the classic horror/monster movie based on Brian Keene's best selling novel of the same name

After two miscarriages, writer Adam Shay's marriage is on the rocks. On a walk through local woods rumored to be haunted, Adam come across a strange sight:a statue of a half-man, half-goat creature, a satyr from ancient legends, which comes to life before his eyes.  Soon, all the women in town begin disappearing, summoned to the woods by the satyr's hypnotic piping. When Adam gathers the menfolk to hunt down the satyr and retrieve the women, what they uncover is an unholy evil bent on protecting itself and spreading its seed.

Award winning short film director Paul Campion will direct from a script by Paul Finch, with Elisabeth Pinto (Eel Girl, Night of the Hell Hamsters) producing.

Andrea Clarke (Dog Soldiers) will cast the film, with Shane Rangi (Chronicles of Narnia, Lord of the Rings) attached to play the role of the evil satyr Hylinus, and New Zealand's Oscar winning Weta Workshop attached to design and create the creature makeup.
