Freddy Krueger Cast for Nightmare Remake?

It seems that Freddy Krueger has been cast. No kids its not Robert Englund. That whole theory was shot to hell for us a long time ago when the producers told us he was not interested in the film.. mainly I am sure because they were offering a cameo and not a starring role.

Today from BD comes confirmation of an earlier rumor that Jackie Earle Haley will star as the gloved one. The rumor first started with LatinoReview a long time ago and now BD is confirming the rumor and says a deal should be finalized soon that will see Jackie Earle Haley play Freddy in the new Nightmare on Elm Street Remake.
