Terminator's Bale to be a Prisoner?

According to THR, insiders are saying that Christian Bale has attached himself to Endeavor project called 'Prisoners', joining Mark Wahlberg and following word that Bryan Singer would like to be included to direct the pic!  At this point, the director isn't official yet, but once it's confirmed, Endeavor will be putting the package together and going shopping for some financing.  With this trio on board, I'm sure they will have some big numbers thrown at them, but it will take a lot of commas to keep the fragile Bale-Wahlberg combo together since they both command big paychecks.

Reading the plot synopsis, I started to understand why the hell everyone was so pumped about this duo getting together for this movie.  Prisoners will follow a carpenter from a small town and after his 6-year-old daughter and her friend are kidnapped, he butts heads with the young, brash detective in charge of the investigation.  The father is a Bible-reading, deer-hunting survivalist. The cop, meanwhile, can’t wait to get to the city. Feeling failed by the law, the father captures the man he believes responsible and begins to torture him in a desperate attempt to find out what he did with the girls, whom he’s convinced are still alive.

Let's hope this trio can get together on this one and everything pans out!  I really like the concept and am already very excited about this movie, even though there's not much to go on yet!
