Freddy has found his Nancy

The reboot of Nightmare on Elm Street is coming up quickly, and some of the final pieces are falling into place.  Finally, Freddy isn't alone in the cast for the reboot.  Nancy has been found!!

Rooney Mara, who recently starred in 'Urban Legends: Bloody Mary', is in final negotiations with Platinum Dunes to take over for Heather Langenkamp as Nancy Thompson in the reboot of Nightmare on Elm Street according to BD.  Mara will be joining Jackie Earle Haley as Freddy, Thomas Dekker as Jesse and Kyle Gallner as Quentin.  Taking the helm will be long time music video director Samuel Bayer.  Mara will be in good hands.

On a side note, Roony Mara is also oversees a charity called 'Faces of Kibera'.  Their goal is to build an orphanage near the Kibera slum of Nairobi, Kenya.  What a good girl!
