30 Days of Night Sequel Is ComingGoon
Rumors have been swirling that a possible sequel was in the works for David Slades 30 Days of Night. Today writer Steve Niles came out and confirmed to MTV that the rumors were true and they already have a script finished up. But there is one catch to this deal. The film will be a direct to DVD sequel.
“We didn’t hit that magic $100 million, but I had a long talk with Sam,” explained Niles to MTV. “He called me and just said, ‘Don’t be too quick to judge this direct-to-DVD market, especially with the sci-fi market.’”
The script is based off another comic he wrote as a sequel titled Dark Days. In “Dark Days,” the character of Stella Olemaun heads to Los Angeles after surviving the vampire attack in Barrow, Alaska. She intentionally attracts the attention of the local vampire population in order to avenge the death of her husband, Eben, during the Barrow incident.
