New District 9 Poster Is Here

When I ventured out to the theater to check out the new Wolverine movie one of the trailers that accompanied the film was District 9. It turned out to be the best thing I would see the whole night. This film looks to be the next Cloverfield with its advertising. Today Yahoo got their hands on a new poster for the film that you can check out below.

Based off Bloomkamp's short film Alive in Joburg, District 9 tells the story of an alien race forced to live in slumlike conditions on Earth. The company Multi-National United is picked to keep an eye on them and leads people to believe the alien's living conditions are adequate. The surpressed aliens are at MNU's complete mercy, then they find an ally, a government agent who has exposed to the alien's biotechnology. District 9 is due out on August 14, 2009.
