Cloverfield Monster Boldly Goes Where No Monster Has Gone Before

So this past weekend I went to see Star Trek and it seems that mankind is not the only one boldy going where no man has gone before. It seems the Cloverfield monster was such a hit that it to decided to boldly venture into space and tried to make dinner out of Captain Kirk.

Look at the photo below of the Cloverfield monster and compare to the Star Trek monster and you should notice that it looks awful familiar. JJ Abrams pulled out all the stops including throwing Cloverfield at the Trekkers. Who else noticed this similarity when they saw Trek? Assuming you did.
