Vanessa Hudgens is Beastly

I am pretty sure this movie will be about as scary as a bucket full of smurfs but it seems that Vanessa Hudgens ( Highschool Musical ) and Alex Pettyer will star in a new teen horror flick called Beastly.

The movie is based on the book and is basically a modern day telling of Beauty and the Beast according to DC. It will be released into theatres in 2010 and is no doubt trying to take a stab at capitalizing on the fame of TWILIGHT.

The story is about an egotistical and good looking young man ( played by Alex Pettyfer since I passed on the role ) who is turned into a beast. Seriously this movie sounds pretty bad.
