RIP Don Edmonds, Director of Ilsa

This year we have lost many and to add to that list today comes news that Don Edmonds has passed on. Fangoria received the news that apparently he had hurt his back a couple months ago and while getting a CAT scan they discovered a lump on his liver.

As most of you know Don Edmonds was director of probably the most notourious exploitation films of all time, Ilsa, She Wolf of the SS. But I was lucky enough to meet the man a little over a year ago at a convention. During that weekend he was hands down one of the greatest guests I had ever met. He had so many stories and was completely honest about everything he had done in his career.

He was blunt and to the point. Looking back I feel honored to have met the man along with Ilsa herself, Dyanne Thorne. Over the weekend they had talked about doing several more conventions together and at the time Don had all the energy in the world.. He will be missed..
