Neil Patrick Harris Joins Beastly

Beastly the movie sounds all kinds of bad. It stars Mary Kate Olsen, Vanessa Hudgens and Alex Pettyfer. That said the studio has taken a stab at adding some entertainment vault by casting Neil Patrick Harris  aka Doogie Howser, aka Mr Brain from Starship Troopers.

The movie is based on the book and is basically a modern day telling of Beauty and the Beast. It will be released into theatres in 2010 and is no doubt trying to take a stab at capitalizing on the fame of TWILIGHT.  The story is about an egotistical and good looking young man ( played by Alex Pettyfer since I passed on the role ) who is turned into a beast.

The Hollywood Reporter is reporting that Neil Patrick Harris will play the part of a blind tutor who helps Alex Pettyfer aka The Beast cope with being turned into a Beast. Could be genius.
