Daybreaker's Trailer!!!

The trailer for Aussie brother directing duo the Spierig Brothers long awaited followup to their zombie cult hit Undead the vampire opus Daybreakers has hit and ou can watch it below.  All I got to say is that 1. we finally get a film that fully explores the never realized evil vampire plan of a world of all vampires and humans put into bloodfarms 2. William Dafoe actually looks to be playing a good guy for once (well, recently at least) 3. if the full film fulfills what the trailer promises, Daybreakers looks to go up there with other modern vampire classics like Near Dark & Let The Right One In.

The storyline is set in a world where nearly everyone on the planet is now a vampire, the last humans are captured and bled dry.  Vampire scientist Edward (played by Ethan Hawke) is desperately trying to find a blood subistute as supplies are running dangerously low.  He is contacted by an underground human movement looking to try and rebuild themselves and save their race.

Okay, here's a grudge match, Ethan Hawke vs Robert Pattinson; Battle of the Vampire Edwards...my money is on Ethan Hawke.  According to Wikipedia, the budget was only about $21million.  Just from the trailer for that small budget, the Brothers look to have gotten get every last penny and it looks like it has a budget at least two to three times the size.  After seeing the trailer, I'm totally pumped for it.  Daybreakers will hit screens on January 8, 2010
