The Crow Reboot Is Not A Remake

Not long ago we told you that Alex Proyas was pretty peeved off about the remake of his original classic starring Brandon Lee. Today comes word from Mania that the proposed remake is not actually a remake at all. It will be a reboot of the franchise in a way.

According to a source close to the film the script written by Stephen Norrington will be "very different from the original - a whole new story about a whole new character."

So even though that may sound all nice and dandy.. its still nothing new. It doesn't take much to take an already established franchise slap the title the Crow on it and ship it out. I would feel much better if he would just call it something else completely different if it is going to be SO different from the original with an all new story and an all new character.
