Ghost Rider movie will be filmed in Melbourne !

According to the Herald Sun, director Mark Steven Johnson ("Daredevil"), is in Melbourne preparing for shooting the upcoming comic adaptation "Ghost Rider", which will start on January 31 with star Nicolas Cage. He said that Melbourne won over Sydney and Brisbane, because of its versatility.

"I just thought it was such a cooler town. This film is really going to be a showcase for Melbourne. There's a huge set-piece on the river downtown near an abandoned railway line, where we're having a big police chase with helicopters."

"Ghost Rider" was originally created in 1972 by Gary Friedrich & Mike Ploog for Marvel Comics, and tells the story of Johnny Blaze who has a dark secret - he is the Ghost Rider. Hho can grab you and force you to re-live tenfold all the sins you have perpetuated in your life… if there are too many sins, you'll burn up and incinerate.

At this time no other actors than Nicolas Cage have been finalised, but Johnson said most would be local actors.
