Bluray Giving DVD Owners The Shaft! Bend Over!

A thread on the forums today brought up a great point and one that is certainly getting under my skin. As of late studios have started punishing those of us who still do not want to pay inflated Bluray prices by taking things away.

The reason for people to go from VHS To DVD was better picture quality that you could not get on VHS and lots of cool new features including nice menus and quicker viewing as you could jump from scene to scene. Plus you dont have to rewind the damn thing. DVD was more money but at least you could see the clear benefits.

Now with Bluray out for some reason the studios have decided to not offer more features but take away from the DVD buyers. We are now seeing Special Features and extras taken away from the DVD Releases and being offered on the Bluray. I for one think this is complete crap. The Bluray offers VERY little interest to me because all you get is better picture. And frankly for the money I would just stick with my DVDs.

By taking the special features off DVDS and only offering it on Bluray Hollywood is trying to force us into Bluray with no incentive but rather punishment and I for one dont like getting the shaft. Bend me over some more Hollywood.. I dont like it... but you keep doing it. Am I alone? Are you with me? Or are BLurays finally starting to come down in price where my point is mute? Sound off!
