Watch District 9: The Original Short Film

Neill Bloomkamp's District 9 has been all over since last summer with viral marketing everywhere. Well today I decided I was going to look for the original short on which the film is based, Alive in Joburg. Sure enough Youtube came through for me. Since we haven't yet posted this I figured now would be a good time to post it before the movie comes out on August 14th. Check it out below.

District 9 tells the story of an alien race forced to live in slumlike conditions on Earth. The company Multi-National United is picked to keep an eye on them and leads people to believe the alien's living conditions are adequate. The surpressed aliens are at MNU's complete mercy, then they find an ally, a government agent who has exposed to the alien's biotechnology.
