Megan Fox Got Naked but Ellen Page Would have Nailed it

We have been covering Jennifers Body in alot of detail lately and the movie looks like it could have a whole lot of genius in it. The trailer ( watch it ) impressed the hell out of me with its dark and witty writing and overall look and I think it could be the new smash hit horror flick that I have been waiting for.... with one flaw.

I for one think the casting is off. I realize they cast Megan Fox because who better to cast as the uber hot cheer leader who eats boys? But a better choice would have been the star of Diablo Cody's last film Juno. Namely, Ellen Page.

Ellen Page does not have the same mainstream draw with teenage boys and she is admittedly not as traditionally sexy as Megan Fox but for me... she would have nailed it. Admittedly though she probably would not have participated in the quasi-naked scenes that Megan Fox did. So I am asking the question who would have been better?

Ellen Page shone in JUNO but more importantly she scared the shit out of every male who ever looked sideways at a girl in Hard Candy. She can really act, happens to be cute and for me would have made Jennifers Body a better movie at the loss of the Transformers draw that Megan Fox has. I am by no means saying the movie is not going to be any good but for me the focus is to much on how hot Megan Fox is and how often they can almost show her boobs and throw her in a nighty... ( sexy Megan Fox Jennifers Body Photos ) and less about the movies fantastic premise.

I fully expect this movie will rock thanks to Diablo Cody's immense talent but for me I just wish Ellen Page had taken the lead and starred alongside Amanda Sigfried as the Cheerleader turned man eater.
