Shutter Island Shifted To 2010!

In one heck of an upset, Academy Award Winning Director Martin Scorsese's thriller Shutter Island is getting moved by Paramount to 2010.  Variety reports that Paramount (who is distributing the picture) says that economic choices caused them to change the venue.  Basically they want the picture to achieve the most it can in its run at the box office, however I'm pretty sure it would still do well.  Scorsese is a director whose known by the general public and his movies do well.

However will the sudden shift (with only six weeks to go before release) cause people to think there is something drastically wrong with the movie?  It looks fairly solid and Scorsese is a top-notch director and has assembled a great cast.  Shutter Island will now be released on February 19, 2010, wedged between The Wolf Man and The Crazies remakes coming out one week before and one week after respectfully.
