Steve Miner Directing Halloween 3D?

Earlier in the week Goldensimatar told you all that the studio was not willing to leave Halloween alone and had decided to make a big gimmick out of it. Namely by doing Halloween 3D. The word was a major director was being considered and today the rumor has hit the web on alot of sites including DC that Steve Miner who did Day of the Dead the sequel ( which was terrible ) and Halloween H20 which wasnt that bad will direct.

I am not a huge Steve Miner fan but he definitely has a TON of experience directing different films including some of the Friday the 13th Franchise. thoughts on this choice? Halloween 3D is slated for a Summer 2010 release. The source on this is questionable so this is rumor kids.
