Imago Images And Mel House Speaks
For fans of indie horror it seems like Texas is really the place to be. With guys like Mel House working on films back to back you have a lot to look forward to. Closet Space was really his first work to make some noise awhile back but it still hasn't landed any kind of domestic release. Hopefully soon that will change but according to House no time this year.
However when speaking with Dread Central he told them that his film would be screening at the Texas Blood Bath Film Festival in November. He will also be debuting the Imago trailer and showing off a new clip for his film Walking Distance. House dropped a couple hints about the release of both of the films to DC as well:
"As for IMAGO and DISTANCE - it actually looks like they'll be completed about the same time, so when that time comes we may be unloading both barrels at once. IMAGO director Chris Warren is about halfway through the first rough cut of the movie, so things are moving pretty quickly on that. It’s actually taking on a JACOB’S LADDER-ish feel, which we hadn’t counted on, but are (of course) totally okay with. DISTANCE, on the other hand, is a huge project with lots of involved post-production, so it’s taking a little longer to get everything done just right. IMAGO was sort of designed to be the opposite of that - lean and mean. So...it will definitely be interesting to unleash both on the world."
Both films really look amazing and he dropped off a couple stills from Imago that you can check out over at Dread Central. We will be following all of Mel House's projects very closely which you should already be doing.. But if you're lazy like me then you can just come here and get all that info in one spot.
