4 Disturbing Horror Movies That Left me Violated

Meh

I do not like movies that rely on gore anymore then I like all the 3D movies being done. The reason is that these movies tend to lack an intelligent script or a decent cast so they rely on gimmicks to keep you interested. HOSTEL is one of those movies that was billed as 'brutal' but lets be honest that was a marketing gimmick. Hostel was a walk in the park.

That said there are alot of horror movies out there that are extremely disturbing and not only that... very well done. I am never a fan of violence for the sake of violence and as noted gore for the sake of gore but when you mix it with great writing and intense characters you end up with fantastic and disturbing horror movies that left me violated! Here are four such films that I will not soon forget!

First off lets go with TEETH. I am going with this one first because it is pretty tame and the only one on my list that just made me squirm. The film is about a girl who has teeth someplace no guy ever wants to find teeth and she uses them to exact revenge on the world and there is no male in the world that sat through this film and didnt have a 'holy shit' moment as the heroine of the film deals with the people around her... in her own special way. Seriously messed up TEETH is a dark comedy with some seriously warped punch.

Teeth (2008) Teeth (2008)
TEETH tells the story of High school student Dawn (Jess Weixler) works hard at suppressing her budding sexuality by being the local chastity group's most active participant. Her task is made even more difficult by her bad boy step...

Next on my list and definitely alot more disturbing is Jack Ketchums The Girl Next Door. Alot of what happens in this movie is implied and not actually seen but enough is seen to definitely leave a mark on your soul. This movie worst of all is based off a true story which is equally as disturbing as the movie. The film tells the story of a girl who is kidnapped by neighbourhood children, locked in a basement and tortured and sexually abused. All while one of the childrens mother sits by and not only condones it but encourages more of it. This movie is the definition of disturbing but the story is also VERY powerfull and moving. This movie was impossible to turn off because of its terrifying story and great writing but it was also impossible to watch because of its extremely brutal content. Jack Ketchums Girl Next Door definitely left its mark on me.

The Girl Next Door The Girl Next Door
Suburbia in the 1950's. A nice quiet simpler time to grow up -unless you count the McCarthy trials and red-scares and the shadow of the Bomb and the Cold War, unless you could see the dark side emerging. And on a quiet tree-lined ...

From Girl Next Door we head to Martyrs which is one of the few movies that I have ever had to hit the fast forwad button during. I have my limits. Martyrs is easily one fo the most violent and sadistic movies ever made and it is also one of the best films I have ever seen. The story, the characters and the absolutely shocking end make this movie one of the most sadistic and impressive films I have seen out of the thousands of films I have watched. The movie as noted was to much for me at one particular point but that does not take away from the fact it is one of the most moving and disturbing films I have ever seen. I am not even going to hint at what its about. Go watch it and find out!

Martyrs Martyrs

Last on my list is Dead Girl. This movie is going to be released on DVD this month and its a movie I encourage you all to check out if you like shocking films. Once again like the other films on this list the film is very disturbing but driven by its story and its characters. Its brutally violent and disturbing but the driving force is without a doubt the underlying story and the very human characters. For me its a toss up as to which film disturbed me more Martyrs or Dead Girl but its safe to say that both will make you squirm. I will warn you if your female you may find Dead Girl VERY hard to watch because of its brutal sexual content. Although its primarily implied violence that does not make it any easier to stomach.

Dead Girl (2009) Dead Girl (2009)
Daringly original, genre-busting and certain to cause debate, Deadgirl is an odyssey into the soul of our alienated youth. But by injecting universal teen moral moorings into something fantastical and terrifying, the film takes ...
