District 9 DVD Specs
One of the best films of the summer in my opinion was District 9. It was smart, original science fiction, well directed, well written and well acted. Ever since I saw it I've been waiting for news of the DVD. Well, here it be. DVDActive has word on the special features of the DVD. It will be in a single and two disc edition plus Blu-Ray. Best news is that unlike a certain much-anticipated horror film and a big budget robot movie, the special features will not all be on the Blu-Ray.Special Features:

A very meaty package I must say and I'm most excited about the commentary. Participants besides Blomkamp (guessing as it says 'Director's Commentary) are unknown, though I hope Peter Jackson and Sharlto Copley join him. For me its a bit of a bummer as the film will not hit DVD till December 29, after Christmas. However my Birthday is January 2 *winkwink*. The single disc DVD will run you $28.96, two disc DVD will run you $36.95 and the two disc Blu-Ray will be $39.95.
