New Horror on DVD October 13th

After what was a pretty busy week for horror releases on DVD last week, the spending is most likely to continue this week as another good crop of films is being released.  Of course the main title highlighting the week is Sam Raimi's return to horror with Drag Me to Hell.  I am sure many of you will be picking the film up as it has a 77.39% approval rating with over 20 reviews on site.

There are some other nostalgic releases as well that you may want to consider.  The Stepfather makes it's way to DVD again, just in time for those looking to enjoy a great 80's flick before it's ruined by a PG-13 remake (which comes out this weekend).  It's worth taking a look at if you enjoyable R rated 80's horror

Sticking with the 80's theme, Happy Birthday to Me see's re-release this time from Anchor Bay.  The previous DVD from Columbia had a different cover and a completely different soundtrack than the theatrical release had but the good folks at Anchor Bay set things straight by using the original soundtrack and going with the original poster for this re-release.

Other intriguing options include the horror/sci-fi flick Hardware, killer chatroom iMurders starring William Forsythe and Tony Todd, and the horror/comedy/mocumentary How To Be A Serial Killer which could be cheesy fun.
