Hatchet 2 Updates, Tony Todd on Board?

Community member Googo caught up with Tony Todd and asked him about the upcoming hatchet 2. Googopoq writes;

Got to meet Tony Todd today and he informed me that Hatchet 2 was on, he will be in it and that Adam Green is supposed to direct it. You may alrdy know this and srry but yeah theres something.

Also, Tony Todd is going to be on a webisode or whatever, apparently, on Netflix.com where its a choose how they die, or vote who dies, type thing that sounds quite kewl. i will report, lol, more once I get things sorted out

In an interview some time back with BD Adam Green also talked about the project saying;

"Hopefully it gets made this year if we can schedule it in a way that works for me. The only reason a production date has not been agreed upon is because clearly everyone in the HATCHET camp wants to do it at a time when I can be the one to return at the helm, and as you can see from the multitude of projects I am already doing (GRACE, his script for D.C.'s animated AQUAMAN film, FROZEN, GOD ONLY KNOWS, and a TV pilot he's creating for Nickelodeon with Jack Black's company Electric Dynamite), it's going to take some very careful planning and scheduling to find a time where I am available to make the film."

Green also went on to talk about how he's not able to commit to Hatchet 2 yet because of scheduling, but did say that his company (ArieScope Pictures) and Anchor Bay are "hard at work figuring it out."  Green continued by saying, "Should we all decide that the film cannot wait any longer - I will pass the torch to a different writer/director for HATCHET 2, but nobody involved wants to even discuss that scenario just yet."

Now, what about this cool little teaser poster that hit the interweb, what does Adam Green have to say about it? 

"The teaser poster is legit, but is something we've had on our ArieScope site and MySpace pages for a month or more now," says Green "HATCHET is Anchor Bay's highest selling original title of all time at this point and the sequel is definitely going to happen without a doubt."

Hopefully Green can clear up some of his schedule soon and get to work on this much anticipated sequel, it would be optimal to have him at the helm again.
