Ridley Scott talks Alien Prequel

In an interview with Empire Ridley Scott took some time to talk about the upcoming Alien Prequel which this genre fan is pretty excited about. He told them quote;

It's a brand new box of tricks. We know what the road map is, and the screenplay is now being put on paper. The prequel will be a while ago. It's very difficult to put a year on 'Alien,' but [for example] if 'Alien' was towards the end of this century, then the prequel story will take place thirty years prior.

I think a prequel that takes us to the home world and shows us the true roots of the Aliens would be absolutely fantastic. That said I am hungry for any good ALIENS spin off movie.
