According to Slashfilm who have an un-named source Tobe Hooper is in talks to direct a new remake of Texas Chainsaw Massascre which is a contemporary take on the original. It may also be a continuation of the films made by Platinum Dunes who made the recent remake and a sequel. I for one actually liked what Platinum Dunes did but I know I am not in the majority.
Twisted Pictures bought the rights to the film from Platinum Dunes and are working on a remake with Stephen Susco writing it. Stephen Susco wrote the Grudge. I gotta say I do not know what Twisted pictures is thinking. Why do they figure we need ANOTHER
