Kevin Williamson Talks Scream 4

Scribe Kevin Williamson has been a busy man lately. We have known that he is working on the script for the upcoming Scream 4 and courting Wes Craven to come back and direct. With Williamson writing the script it looks like we will be getting another film after all.

Not only another film but a whole new triology! Yes today in an interview with MTV he broke the news that he has a complete triology in mind. That would mean all the way to Scream 6. Right now though he is only under contract until Scream 5. We already know that Neve Campbell, David Arquette and Courtney Cox will be returning and Wes Craven has already said that he loves the script that was pitched to him.

While speaking to MTV Williamson told them, "The fourth one is an ensemble. It'll take place right now, 10 years later, and it's going to take place in [Sidney Prescott's hometown of] Woodsboro. We'll have our three main characters, and we'll be introducing several more. We'll also be introducing a little group, a little ensemble of new castmembers. That'll take us through the next three."

Luckily he mentioned that the film will be much like the originals and be very self referential. Which will mean probably several jokes about remakes, 3-D and of course the countless sequels that happen.
