David Fincher Directing Peter Proud Remake

For the first time since Seven David Fincher will be teaming up with scribe Andrew Kevin Walker for a remake of The Reincarnation of Peter Proud. The original film was based off of a novel written by Max Enrlich in 1975. It was directed by J. Lee Thompson and starred Margot Kidder and Michael Sarrazin.

"Proud" centers on a college professor who begins having recurring dreams and nightmares and, realizing they are images of a past life, decides to search out the source of the visions. With his girlfriend in tow, he discovers a woman and her grown-up daughter who are keys to his past life.

The creative team according to THR will be going back to the source material for the remake. So it will be more of a reinterpatation of the novel rather than a remake of the film. No word on will filming will take place so keep it here for more.
