New Writer On Hack/Slash Film Adaptation
The Hack/Slash film has been in development hell for way too long. Last we heard about the film a couple months ago was that Fredrik Bond was signed on to replace Todd Lincoln to direct. Finally today it looks like they are beginning to gear up the film once again with a winter shoot in mind.
According to STYD, Stephen Susco has been hired to give the script yet another overhaul. There have been countless writers hired on to this job with little success. Hopefully this time around he will get the job done and they can move ahead with that winter shoot they had in mind.
Hack/Slash," created by Tim Seeley and Stefano Caselli, centers on Cassie Hack, a woman who symbolizes the lone girl who survives at the end of every horror movie. Hack not only survived, she has become a killer of killers and travels to small towns across the country hunting slashers in the vein of "Halloween's" Michael Myers, "Friday the 13th's" Jason Voorhees and "A Nightmare on Elm Street's" Freddy Krueger. She is partnered on her journey with Vlad, a hulking companion who serves as her protector.
