Vampire Slaying with Higanjima

“Higanjima” is scheduled to be released by Warner Bros. in Japan on January 9, 2010, and hopefully not to long after that it will hit the states as a Region 0 DVD. Thanks to Nippon Cinema for the tip.

Synospsis: A teenager named Akira travels to creepy Higan Island to find his missing older brother with the help of several friends. Unfortunately, the island is inhabited by vampires and no one has ever escaped alive. He eventually discovers that his brother has not only survived on the island alone, but has honed prolific vampire hunting skills in the hopes of avenging the brutal murder of his fiancee.
