Update on The Goon Film Adaptation

After the announcement that David Fincher was going to help produce The Goon film with Blur Studios creating all the CG animation we didn't hear much more. Some people began to worry that Blur's bad track record of announcing things and then nothing happening was repeating itself here. Today those worries can be put to rest.

Eric Powell spoke with Comic Book Resources about how the film was coming along, "I just finished writing the script a few months back, and Blur is working on a lot of test stuff. Fincher is working on a film right now, so we're waiting for him to get some space so we can start showing some of this stuff off. I'm pretty happy with everything so far. We've just got to work to get to the next point. This is a slow, long process."

So its good to hear that the film is still very much a go. Powell wouldn't spill any information about whether or not Fincher would direct the feature or not but promised that he would be very hands on with everything. For those of you dying for more from Powell keep your eyes out for The Goon #33 hitting shelves on November 25th.
