Adam Green Is Back For Hatchet 2!

After the cliffhanger ending in Hatchet it almost seemed like it was going to get a direct sequel. Well two years later and still no sequel but in 2010 the wait will be over as STYD heard from Green this morning that he will be back in the directors seat for the next film.

"It's finally happening," Green told the site. "It's going to have double the body count and Anchor Bay is being cool enough to allow me to make the sequel I want to make."

As far as casting goes Kane Hodder will be back playing Victor Crowley of course. Unfortunately though Joel Moore will not be making a return and is apparently dead. But as we all know never count someone out because no doubt he could possibly return in a later entry. Robert Pendergraft will be taking over special FX this time.

Shooting is schedueled to begin early next year and casting announcements are going to begin next month. If you are eager for some more Green-flavored horror be sure to check out Frozen which will hit theaters in February next year.
