Ketchums Joyride - Being Developed for a Feature Film

I know we have a lot of Jack Ketchum fans on HM and I sure that they will be interested in hearing about another Ketchum's novels coming to the "big screen."

Jeff Monahan, a writer/actor/director and president of 72nd St. Films has taken the Jack Ketchum novel "Joyride" (aka Roadkill) and  written a screenplay adaptation.  He is looking at interested directors, hoping to begin the production of the film, this coming spring.

Here is what Jeff Monahan had to say in a recent interview:

"Adapting the novel was quite fun,"  "I tried to remain as true as possible to the book." Because of adapting a novel to film, I had to cut and rearrange a few parts of the story and even added some humor to what I call "a very dark story."

Note to Ketchum fans - He has read and enjoyed the screenplay.  So I guess we get a "thumbs up" from the man himself.  I'll be curious to see how this one plays out.
