The Piper Heading To The Big Screen

Persistent Entertainment, Pantry Films and Zenescope Entertainment will be bringing Zenescopes comic book The Piper to the silver screen. No director has been attached yet and the comic is actually being sent out to find some writers for this project.

"Piper" aims to take a dark look at the Pied Piper of Hamelin fable. The story will center on a much-bullied high school band student who unintentionally channels the spirit of the mysterious Pied Piper and triggers terrifying consequences of his actions beyond his control.

Now I might just be a little pessimistic at this point but whenever I hear a film is being set in high school, I instantly cringe. Hopefully this will not turn into some kind of Twilight rip off and they add some kind of romantic interest. Keep it here for more.
