Director Announced For The Brood Remake

The Brood was one of the first David Cronenberg films that I saw that I really loved. Of course behind Rabid. Not long ago we heard that a The Brood remake was in the pipeline and today is the official word that the remake is taking steps to actually begin filming.

According to the Los Angeles Times, Breck Eisner has signed on to remake the film for financier Spyglass Entertainment. The original film is about a woman who telepathically communicates with her group of mutant children, instructing them to act out violently. Cory Goodman is on board to adapt the screenplay.
