RIP: Dan O'Bannon

This past year has been pretty hard on horror fans with one death after another. Sadly today AICN has learned that Dan O'Bannon has passed on due to complications of Crohn's Disease last night. He had been fighting the disease for 33 years and after all that fighting it eventually wore him down.

The man has left a mighty big fingerprint on not only the horror genre but on film itself. Having lent a hand to countless films such as Star Wars, Return of the Living Dead, Dead & Buried, Life Force, Total Recall, Alien, a remake of Invaders From Mars and Heavy Metal.
