Giant Fire Ants, INVICTA Trailer

From Avery comes the trailer for a new breed of killers in the form of Invicta. From the official site, The feature, INVICTA, is a blend of comedy, romance and horror, a genre writer-director Carolyn Banks calls “Horror Tra-La.”

It has its serious moments too, especially in the initial focus on Cory and Evan, a young couple whose marriage is strained by Evan’s desire to move from Manhattan to rural Texas to teach at a small college. Cory alienates many, but especially fire ant expert Hamilton Lock, a thorough-going villain. Meanwhile, Olivia, one of Lock’s researchers, falls in love with Evan, further complicating events.

Invicta was filmed almost entirely in Bastrop, Texas.
