Indican Acquires Rosencrantz & Guildenstern are Undead
Back in March we posted the trailer for Jordan Gallan's Rosencrantz & Guildenstern are Undead. I wasn't very impressed because the trailer was rather odd. But soon we will be able to judge the film on its own merits and not that of a badly put together trailer.
Indican has announced that they have acquired the rights to the film and plan on giving it a limited theatrical run on April 16th. Then you can definitely count on a DVD release sometime later down the road. To celebrate the announcement they posted a bunch of stills. You can check out some of them below and the rest at the Indican official website.
Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Undead is a comedy that explains the connection between Hamlet, the Holy Grail, and some very sexy vampires. Julian Marsh is an out of work and unsuspecting ladies man who still lives in the apartment above his Dad's medical office. Frustrated by his son's lack of a career, the good doctor cuts a deal with one of his creepy patients and gets Julian a job directing an off-Broadway play. The play is a bizarre adaptation of Hamlet written by a pale Romanian man named Horatio who is actually a master vampire. Julian recruits some New York actor buddies and a longtime ex-girlfriend to star in the show and they find themselves smack dab in the middle of a two thousand year old conspiracy. Forget about the garlic and the holy water only the Holy Grail itself can save them now if only being undead wasn't so much God-damned fun!
