The Goon's Buzzard Gets A Comic Mini-Series

Eric Powell was on a mad dash last year having done a full year of Goon comics on both pencils and writing. The year before that he was busy completing the Chinatown graphic novel. Not to mention he had to finish up the script for The Goon movie. So fan's have been eager to get their hands on some new Goon comics since he has been taking a break from everything recently.

Well finally we are going to get something that is Goon related. If you happen to own an iPhone you will be able to pick up the digital version of the Chinatown book and issue #7 which features a special crossover with Hellboy. For those of us who don't own an iPhone a new Buzzard series will be on shelves this Fall.

Following his brutal showdown with the loathsome Zombie Priest, Buzzard leaves his home, wandering aimlessly until he steps into the shadowy spirit realm of the forest. A dark path leads him to a small village living in fear of a bestial race of savages. More animal than man, these creatures hunt the villagers and drag them from their slumber in the depth of night.

Buzzard has always been a personal favorite of mine from the Goon cast, and from the amount of requests I’ve gotten to give him his own series, I imagine he’s a favorite of the readers as well,” said Goon creator Eric Powell. “I’m really excited to finally be giving him his own story, along with the revival of Billy the Kid’s Old Timey Oddities!
