AMC Greenlights The Walking Dead Pilot!

Anyone who is a fan of horror comics is no doubt reading Robert Kirkman's amazing zombie series The Walking Dead. Awhile back it was announced that AMC had bought the rights to make The Walking Dead into a TV series. Today Variety announced that they have officially greenlit the Pilot episode.

Frank Darabont penned the adaptation and is on board to direct. Gale Anne Hurd of Valhalla Motion Pictures and David Alpert of Circle of Confusion will exec produce with Darabont.

"Walking Dead" revolves around a group of survivors, led by a police officer, who travel the country in search of a safe home.
