Shaun of the Dead TV Show Coming?

Goon

Recently everyone has been really excited about Robert Kirkman's The Walking Dead possibly getting a TV series on AMC. Well today I'm sure zombie fans will be more than excited to learn that NBC Universal International and Working Title announced they were moving into TV production with new joint venture Working Title Television.

So what does that mean for us? Well according to UK's The Guardian, the venture is going to make TV adaptations of Working Title's library of more than 90 theatrical releases. One of the films mentioned is Shaun of the Dead. Apparently they are going to aim them at American audiences and then possibly export or remake them for other countries.

The fact that they come out and say they are "aiming" for any audience worries me a little. Hopefully they won't change much of what made the original film so great. I'm also curious if Edgar Wright and Simon Pegg will have anything to do with it. Be sure to stick around for more as we hear it.

Update: According to Simon Pegg this project is NOT happening. He posted on twitter as much a few minutes ago. '"Contrary to reports there are no plans for a Shaun Of The Dead TV show. Thought you'd like to know."' Tks to Trinity for the update!
