Alice Scribe Working On MaleficantGoon
Alice In Wonderland has turned out to be quite a hit for Disney so they have decided to join forces with the scribe, Linda Woolverton, once again for Maleficant. The Heat Vision blog also think that this may be the next step to get Tim Burton behind the helm. Not long ago he did mention some interest in the character so reteaming with the scribe once again might just lure him back.
"Maleficent" will be a live-action take on the evil queen in the 1959 animated classic "Sleeping Beauty." Woolverton's "Maleficent" movie would tell the classic fairy tale from the point of view of the self-proclaimed "Mistress of All Evil," offering a new take on a classic tale as she did with Lewis Carrol's "Alice."
Right now they are not sure how dark Disney is willing to go with this movie. Back in 1959 Disney had a much darker animated tale than they do in the movies that they make today. Personally I have always wanted Disney to go back and make movies like that again.. Movies with balls.
