Breck Eisner Takes on Blood of The Innocent
Jack The Ripper and Dracula are about to go head to head in Breck Eisner's new film Blood of The Innocent. According to FearNet Breck Eisner is in talks to direct the project after he completes the remake of Escape From New York.
Breck Eisner directed Sahara which was so bad it gave me a migraine headache but he also just did The Crazies which is a pretty damn good remake.
The new film is based off the indie comic from the 80's which as already mentioned is about Dracula facing off against Jack the Ripper. Sounds odd but if done right it could be b-movie magic!
Not to get a bit off topic here but I am very excited for the upcoming remake of Escape from New York. The film is going to be a remake but also an origins story. So we will get to see what made Snake Plissken snake as well as watch him kick some ass in New York.
The Escape films are some of my favorite apocalyptic films and I can not wait for more. Here is hoping Gerard Butler does star since he has been in on again and off again talks but nothing has been hammered out yet.
