Twilight 4 Scribe Talks Childbirth

A big ol' fashion Spoiler Alert for those who are currently reading the Twilight books and don't want to spoil anything in the fourth installment or those who just watch the films and don't want any spoilers likewise.  This is a BIG spoiler that has had the net in a confused look since the first Twilight fan blogged what happened.

In Breaking Dawn, Bella is pregnant with Edward's kid (how vampires reproduce I dunno) and cause the kid is killing her...he more or less performs a Cesarean section her; vampire style.  And then turns her into a vampire and so on and so forth.

Needless to say, the complete bizarreness of the scene has had many speculating that the PG13 franchise might go R if they were to stick to the book.   Which if they did, there is no doubt in my mind it'd flop.  LATimes spoke to writer Melissa Rosenberg about the scene and what she plans to do with it:

"On the fan site, on Facebook, all the comments are "It has to be R rated! You have to show the childbirth! Gore and guts and sex!" For me it's actually more interesting to not see it. You know, you can do childbirth without seeing childbirth ... it doesn't mean it's any less evocative of an experience."

So it would seem that the fans who are screaming to see the 'birth' scene can stop as it will be done in such a way it's not going to get the film an R rating.  Honestly, if they went hardcore and got this  an R...I'd buy a ticket to see it.  Ya heard me, I'd pay to see Breaking Dawn if it's gonna be R rated.  The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 1 is due out November 18, 2011 with the second part following in 2012.
