Tobe Hooper Attending Frightfest Screening of Egg Shells


Tobe Hooper the director of the classic The Texas Chainsaw Massacre (1974) will be at this years Film4 FrightFest to be inducted into the first 'Total Icon' which is a new attraction at the festival to celebrate the true god's of the horror genre.
The UK movie magazine 'Total Film' is working in partnership with FrightFest to bring this idea to life.

Tobe Hooper will be at the FrightFest festival on the 28th of August and there will be a screening of Tobe Hooper's rarely scene movie Eggshells (1969) Tobe Hooper describes the movie as "as being a mixture of Andy Warhol’s TRASH and Walt Disney’s FANTASIA

Following 'Eggshell's' there will be a screening of his iconic movie 'The Texas Chainsaw Massacre' .following a Q & A with Tobe Hooper and Total Film Deputy Editor Jamie Graham, this will be Tobe Hooper's first appearance in the UK for 18 years!

I've actually never seen 'Eggshells' so i will be sure to hunt it down, i mean this is the same guy that bought us 'Texas Chainsaw Massacre' so I'm sure some trippy, psychedelic movie from the 60's can only be good!
